How can I use MiDatabank for Enquiries answered by email?

You can write your answer to be emailed in the usual way using the Answer field whilst viewing your Research Summary. This text can then be copied and pasted into an email and sent.
Don’t forget to cite any references used.
Remember to add a note so it is clear what you have emailed, including attachments and use <Ctrl M> to mark the answer with your name, the date and the time i.e.

How can I use MiDatabank for Enquiries answered by letter?

You can write your letter in the Answer field whilst viewing your Research Summary. This text can then be copied and pasted into a letter template as a Word document.

Alternatively you can write your letter in Word and then copy and paste back into the Answer field when it is complete.

Don’t forget to cite any references used.
Remember to add a note so it is clear what you have sent, including references and use <Ctrl M> to mark the answer with your name, the date and the time i.e.

Yes, you can copy and paste enquirer name and address details for use in a letter/email/fax. To do this go to the Completion screen, click the Print Enquiry button

OR right click on the enquiry title in the “In Progress” tray.
Select Show Enquiry Report (Printable).


How can I see my research more easily when I am typing my answer?

You can place your mouse on the right hand edge of the Research Summary box and drag it across to make the research box bigger..

How can I see the question whilst I am typing my answer?

Just click on "Input" at any stage to see the question.

Can I copy and paste information from the Research Summary into my answer?

Yes, just copy and paste into the answer field in the normal way.
