What fields can I search in MiDatabank?

You can search by:

  • Keyword
  • Enquiry Title *
  • Enquiry Number
  • Date

* Although by default the text search is limited to searching the Enquiry Title, it is possible to enable Full Text Search on your database. This will enable all the fields of an enquiry to be searched.

To enable Full Text Search, please refer your Database Administrator to the instructions under the Help section of this web-site


How can I copy a previous enquiry into a new enquiry?

When you have searched the archive and found a useful enquiry,
select ALL the relevant text including Enquiry Number, the date, Enquirer details and the Question and copy and paste into the Research screen.
Select Advice> <Past Enquiry> as your source.


How do I know if a previous enquiry also has attachments?

The search results provide an indication that the enquiry has attachments.

In addition, when you open an archived enquiry, any attachments will be visible as blue underlined text. Click on the link to open the attachment.
