Upgrading to MiDatabank v2 from a previous version:

Prior to upgrading it is useful to make a note of the connection string to your database at the following locations:

C:\Program Files\CoAcS\MiDatabank 1\MIAdmin\Init.xml
C:\Program Files\CoAcS\MiDatabank 1\MIEnquiryManager\Init.xml

Once the installation has completed it is necessary to enter the connection string to your database for both init.xml files in the following locations:

C:\Program Files\CoAcS\MiDatabank 2\MIAdmin\Init.xml
C:\Program Files\CoAcS\MiDatabank 2\MIEnquiryManager\Init.xml

Alternatively, prior to installation you can make a copy of init.xml files for the Midatabank 1 directories, and paste them into the MiDatabank 2 directories. Note that both init.xml files will usually be identical.

Please note:

•  This is a client upgrade only - there are no changes to the SQL database
•  A mixture of computers running version 1.3 and 2.0 can be run simulatenously without any issues, so it is not essential to upgrade all computers at the same time.
•  When upgrading a computer, users on other computers can continue to work with MiDatabank
