Welcome to Medicines Information Computer Aided Learning (MiCAL)

Do you need to:

Obtain relevant information from healthcare professionals to discuss medicines related issues?
Problem solve medicines related issues using a structured logical approach?
Search, evaluate, and summarise the literature to answer questions about medicines?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these then MiCAL is for you.

What to do next:

• If you have received a login and password by email from CoAcS or your organisational lead for MiCAL then click login.
• If your organisation has purchased MiCAL but you have not yet received your individual username and password to access MiCAL then register as a learner with your organisational lead for MiCAL by clicking register. Your organisational lead for MiCAL will email your username and password to you once your request has been approved.
• If your organisation has not yet purchased MiCAL access then a nominated organisational lead needs to complete and return the order form to CoAcS by clicking the purchase button. On receipt of payment, CoAcS will issue the nominated organisational lead with a username and password.

All trainers and learners are strongly advised to read the User Guide below before using MiCAL.

Important note about licensing and organisation set up:

Please note that in the context of the MiCAL site licence agreement, a site is defined as a single hospital. Each hospital must purchase a separate site-licence.
In order to use MiCAL, a hospital must be registered as an organisation. Once registered, it is possible for the organisation to add separate locations such as wards or departments.
